Mad dog's Boxercise is an exercise based on the training concepts boxers use to keep fit,
and who better than Wayne to teach you the basics, and help you get fit with his many tried and tested
methods  acquired in his 20 years with lots of success in the boxing world.
Classes or sessions can take a variety of formats and will be built around you or the class, but a typical
one may involve shadow-boxing, skipping, hitting pads, punchbags, shuttle-runs,and some core
groundwork exercises. Most boxercise classes are aimed at men and women of all ages and fitness
standards. As no class involves the physical hitting of an opponent, it is a fun, challenging and a safe
workout.

Boxing training is for everyone: Whatever your size, shape or sex. Remember, every boxer will have
started from ground level, so anyone and everyone can work their way up to a good level of fitness.

Release your aggression: Boxing training is a great way to do that, making you feel calm because all
the aggression is very channelled and controlled. Even though there is no physical contact, it enables
you to feel in control of your body and more confident about protecting yourself if you are required to.

Wayne's background

Wayne competed at a high level at both amateur and professional for over 20 years, and has enjoyed
much success at both levels.
Turning professional after a Amateur career that seen him rise to the top of his weight division. Wayne
turned professional in 1999 and was given the  ringname of Wayne Mad Dog Elcock  byhis then
manager Frank Maloney ,which he still uses today.
Mad Dog  went on to capture four belts and also challenge for another World crown the prestigious
I.B.F. Wayne is a former holder of the coveted Lonsdale belt (British title) ,W.B.U World Middleweight
title, ands is also the former undefeated English and W.B.F International title holder.

Training experience

Although Wayne is still an active professional boxer the training field is not a new area to Wayne, and
he added his newly acquired boxercise qualification to another training qualification gained a few years
back as a professional boxing trainer.  
Wayne has gained a wealth of experience over the years training and working with some of the sports
best known trainers both here and abroad, working with the hugely experienced Paddy & Tommy
Lynch who are among the most successful trainers here in the UK with 13 past British champions to
there credit, and they are also still Wayne's trainers today.
Wayne has also made frequent visits to the the USA to continue to work with World renowned and
highly respected and trainer of former World Champions the great Marvelous Marvin Hagler and Irish
Steve Collins Goody Petronelli .

Conditioning and nutrition

Wayne has had the benefit of working with some of the best in the sport world working with both
Chelsea and Charlton Athletic football clubs top conditioners and nutritionists in his 3 years spent living
in London.
The benefits gained from the experience helped Wayne understand and learn more about what the
body needs and requires to maintain the high fitness and energy levels required a the top of any sport.
Science in sport and understanding the right diet for you is a major factor, and one Wayne believes
has helped contribute massively to his past success, and is also the main reason he can still compete
at the highest level today at an age where most boxers in the past would have long retired.
